This is a South Indian dish generally served in breakfast. Made with Rava (semolina) and veggies but today I tried this with Chana dal and onions and really tasted good.

This is a South Indian dish generally served in breakfast. Made with Rava (semolina) and veggies but today I tried this with Chana dal and onions and really tasted good.
Steps

Wash and soak Chana dal in water for 20 mints then boil in pressure cooker till tender. Strain and Keep aside.

Take a pan add oil, mustard seeds and let it crackle. Add curry leaves and semolina and cook till the colour changes and aroma or roasting rava comes.

Add above-mentioned spices and mix well and add Chana dal and mix well. Add water as required and keep stirring till the batter gathers and the pan leaves the sides.

Transfer to a bowl and garnish with curry leaves. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
