Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsgram flour/Besan (Ravila Besan)
  2. 1/2 cupGhee
  3. 1.5 cupboora/powdered sugar
  4. 1/4 tspgreen cardamom powder
  5. 1/4 tspcrushed black pepper (it’s optional)
  6. As requiredChopped pistachios for garnishing

    Take ghee in a wok. When ghee is hot and add gram flour and stir fry over medium flame. Roast the gram flour till light golden brown colour. It takes about 30 minutes. Add more if you want and continue roasting the gram flour for some more time (around 10 minutes). The gram flour will start to give nice nutty fragrance and will start releasing the ghee.

    Now sprinkle 1 tbsp water. Mix well, Foam and granules will start foaming in the gram flour (It will make the laddoos delicious). Now add crushed black pepper and cardamom powder. Mix it well and switch off the heat. Now put the gram flour mixture in a plate. Leave the texture to cool completely. If it does not cool completely, it becomes moist when sugar is added.

    Now add 1/2 cup boora/powdered sugar. You will get best taste in ladoo with boora which is easily available in Indian market. Now mix it well by rubbing it with the your open palm. Add more boora and mix it well.Shape into tight, hard balls pressing hard at every stage. At the final stage, top of each ladoo press pistachios keep it pressed a little. Make all the laddus this way. Enjoy the taste.
