Ingredients

30-35 mins
15’pieces
  • 1 cuppoha
  • 2 tbspcoconut powder
  • 6 tbspjaggery powder
  • 1/2 cuproasted dry fruits
  • 1/4 cuppeanuts
  • 1/2 cuphot milk
  • 1 tspElaichi (cardamom)powder
  • 3 tbspghee

Steps

30-35 mins
  1. 1

    Firstly dry roast poha in a non-stick pan for 4-5 mins on low flame till it leaves raw smell.

  2. 2

    Transfer it in a plate and let it cool.
    Now in the same pan roast coconut powder for 2 mins transfer it in one plate.

  3. 3

    Now dry roast dry fruits and peanuts transfer that too in a separate plate and let it cool.

  4. 4

    Now churn the poha in a mixer grinder to make it in a powder form.

  5. 5

    Coarsely grind dry fruits and peanuts too.

  6. 6

    Now heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan and add poha powder and raost if nicely till it changes it's colour a bit.

  7. 7

    This has to be done on low flame continuously stirring to avoid sticking at the base.

  8. 8

    Now add 1/2 cup milk and keep stirring.

  9. 9

    Now add jaggery powder coconut powder and elaichi powder and mix it well.

  10. 10

    Now add the remaining 2 tbsp of ghee and mix well and cool on low flame till the mixture gets combined.

  11. 11

    Off the flame Transfer it in a plate and add the dry fruits mixture.

  12. 12

    Mix it well the the make shape of Modak using the mould.
