Grease a loaf tin, & keep it ready, sieve all the dry ingredients together, add lemon zest to it, now mix all the wet ingredients together whisk well for about 6-7 minutes, add few drops of green food color (optional).

Now add these wet ingredients to dry ingredients, fold this batter gently & properly.

Transfer this cake batter into the greased loaf tin, tap to remove air bubbles, bake this cake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, at 180 degrees Celcius, check with a toothpick to know whether the cake is properly baked.

Prepare lemon glaze, by mixing a half cup of sugar powder with 2tbsp of lemon juice, mix thoroughly till sugar gets dissolved.

When the cake is done, take it out and let it cool, now drizzle the lemon glaze on top of the cake, refrigerate it for 15 minutes for the glaze to set.

Your drool-worthy lemon tea cake is ready to have, with a hot cup of tea. Enjoy!!
