Ingredients

4 servings
  • 3 (less than 150 gr)small size mangoes
  • 10 tbspjaggery (depends on the sourness of mango)
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tsproasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tspblack salt
  • 1 tspred chilli powder (adjust quantity as per your choice)
  • 1 tray ice cubes
  • 400 mlwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel mangoes and cut. Discard the seeds. Put them in a bowl with some water. Add jaggery. Cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles.

    Run a blender and make it smooth. Sieve.

    Add water. Add all the spices and combine everything well. Serve chilled.

    Keep it a bit thick (like kadhi or dal) if you want to eat with khichdi. Make it thin if you want to serve as sorbet.
