  2. 1.1 lbstomatoes or tomatillos (about 500 grams)
  3. 10black chilies

Cooking Instructions

2 hours
  1. 1

Peel and wash the tomatoes thoroughly, then roast them on a griddle, being careful not to over-roast as they can become bitter.

  2. 2

Remove the seeds from the chilies and roast them for a few seconds on each side, ensuring they don't burn, as this can also make them bitter.

  3. 3

Brown the steak and season it with Maggi seasoning sauce and salt.

  4. 4

While the steak is browning, blend the tomatoes with the chilies, garlic, and a little water.

  5. 5

Strain the chili mixture and pour it over the steak.

  6. 6

Season with salt and let it simmer.

  7. 7

Once done, serve it with your choice of rice, warm tortillas fresh off the griddle, and flavored water. I made plum-flavored water.
