Jeggary Pedha

# Navratri.
Pedha or peda or pera is a sweet dish originated from Mathura ..U.P. .India..Its main ingredients are Milk (khoya),sugar , traditional flavors like pistachios, cardamom, kesar etc.Its color varies from a creamy white to caramel color. Though it's one of the main ingredient is sugar ,I have made this delicious pedha with jeggary ,got a nice flavor and texture.

Though it's one of the main ingredient is sugar ,I have made this delicious pedha with jeggary ,got a nice flavor and texture.
Steps

Heat ghee in a non-stick or heavy bottom pan,add milk,mix well and let it boil.

Add milk powder(mix milk powder in little cold milk) and mix well.Flame should be low.

Mix well and evenly on slow flame,when it gets little thicken,add jeggary and mix well.

Add 1Tbs of milk and mix well.add Cardamom powder and mix well.Keep on stirring till mixture leaves pan's side Then switch off the flame and let it rest for few minutes.

When the mixture becomes warm,make equal size balls from it,make round in shape and garnish it with dryfruits. Let it cool outside for and hr.

Note : keep on stirring continuously to avoid lumps......Note: Don't overcook jeggary orelse pedha will become chewy.
