Goulash is a delicious and easy one pot dinner recipe that combines ground beef with elbow macaroni, pepper, garlic, onions, tomatoes and tons of flavor! It's warm, delicious, filling, irresistible and easy to prepare. It is the perfect weeknight family meal!

Ingredients

  1. 1-2 lbsground beef (lean)
  2. 1medium onion
  3. 1 1/2 cupwater
  4. 1 cupbeef broth or 1-2 beef bullion cube to ⅓ cup water
  5. 1 (4.5 oz)can tomato sauce
  6. 1-2 (15 oz)can diced tomatoes
  7. 4 clovesgarlic, minced
  8. 1 tsppaprika
  9. 1 tbspItalian seasoning
  10. 2bay leaves
  11. 1 tbspdried oregano
  12. 1 tspgarlic powder
  13. 2 tbspsoy sauce
  14. 1 tspseasoned salt
  15. 1 tspblack pepper
  16. 1/4or more tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
  17. 1small can V-8 juice (I use spicy)
  18. 1-2 cupselbow macaroni
  19. 1/2 cupparmesan cheese
  20. Dashworsteshire sauce
  21. Shredded cheddar cheese

Cooking Instructions

    In large stock pan, saute the ground beef over medium to high heat, breaking up meat as it cooks. Cook until no pink remains.

    Spoon off excess grease.

    Chop onions and place in pot with meat. Cook 5 minutes or until onions are cooked.

    Add water, beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic, crushed red pepper, Italian seasoning, soy sauce, worcestershire, paprika, seasoned salt, garlic powder, oregano, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper and stir. Add V-8 juice. Now add bay leaves and stir.

    Place lid on pot and cook for 20-25 minutes until goulash is heated through.

    Add elbow macaroni and stir. Place lid in pot and simmer for additional 20 minutes.

    Turn off heat and remove bay leaves. Garnish with parsley, green onion and cheese.
