Steps

Wash and soak daal for half an hour
- 2
Now boil in a pressure cooker until daal is tender.

Strain excess water

Now take a Blender add daal and milk to it and blend it to a smooth paste. You may also add little bit water here.

In a pan heat oil and add the daal mix.

When it starts bubbling add in sugar, milk powder and 1/2 of elaichi powder.

Cook it at low flame stirring in between until halwa is done and it leaves the pan. Add in remaining elaichi powder and zafran and mix well.

Carefully take it out in your serving dish and sprinkle over almonds and walnuts.
