Gujrati Kadhi Masala

Gujarati kadhi is very popular in Gujarat which is an important part of a Gujarati meal. Gujarati kadhi is made with yoghurt, chickpea flour and some spices. Here I have prepared Gujarati kadhi masala using pigeon peas (fresh tuvar) added with some fresh spices. It gives a very nice Aroma to the dish. It can be even frozen easily for 10 to 12 months. This is prepared during winter season when all the things used to make this masala are easily available and super fresh.

First of all wash, clean and prepare all the things required to make this masala.

Now add everything to a mixer jar and grind it. Keep it a little coarse, do not grind it into a smooth paste.

Now divide the mixture into 20 portions and make balls out of it. Keep it on a plate and freeze it. When it is frozen, add it to a ziploc bag and again store it in the freezer. You can even directly put it in a plastic container, level it and make cuts into it and then store it in the freezer, so whenever it is needed you can just take out one piece. You can add one portion to prepare kadhi enough for 4 people. If you want stronger flavour, then you can add more masala to your kadhi.
