Winter Staple Corn Soup Chilled for Summer

I've loved this corn soup when I was a child. Since it's easy to make, I often helped out.
The powdered cheese gives it's kick, so hold back on the salt. Also for the pepper, white pepper looks better than black. Recipe by *yukimi*

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Add the contents of the can of corn to a pot and add an equal amount of milk (measure milk by using the empty can). Turn on the heat.
- 2
Add soup stock and cheese to the pot and bring to a boil, stirring the bottom to prevent burning. Flavor with salt and pepper, top with parsley and it's complete. If you like, you can also add a can of regular corn. But it's not necessary.

I had a craving for chilled soup!Be sure to remove the bay leaf before blending with your Bamix hand blender. For efficiency, try using a rubber spatula when straining! Parsley is good for garnishing, but try croutons, too!! It's delicious even without it, but a tiny dollop of heavy cream brings out the richness. Recipe by Michan cookpad.japan -

I really enjoyed the chilled miso soup I had when I stayed in a hot-spring hotel in Niigata Prefecture. I changed the toppings and uploaded this recipe (the one at the hotel had sliced cucumber and shiso).( 1) You can use 2 cups of water + 1 tsp of instant dashi granules.( 2) Adjust the amount of miso according to what you're using.( 3) If you're planning to float some ice cubes in, prepare it on the saltier side. Chilled coconut and corn soup Chilled coconut and corn soup
Most people don't think of soup for dinner on a hot summer night, but a good chilled soup actually makes for a really delicious, light meal. Case in point, this coconut and corn soup. It's sweet yet bright tasting, rich but not heavy, and pairs wonderfully with some BBQ'd scallops or prawns, or grilled jerk chicken. Robert Gonzal -
Sweet Corn Soup Sweet Corn Soup
This is one of my absolute favorite ways to cook fresh sweet corn! It's so simple and really takes advantage of the corn's natural sweetness. Last summer I think almost of all of the corn I bought ended up being turned into this soup! If you use old corn or some that has dried out a little (wrinkly kernels), it won't turn out very good so I highly recommend using very fresh, in-season corn with plump kernels. Felice -

I have soup for breakfast every morning.I don't have much time in the mornings, so I make it the night before. The flavors blend and it becomes tasty, so I always look forward to breakfast. You add flour after frying the ingredients in butter, so it doesn't become lumpy. The stock cube will dissolve better if you crumble it a little first. If you pour the soup into ramekins, cover with frozen puff pastry and bake it in the oven, you'll have nice pies, which are perfect for parties. Recipe by Sougenusagi cookpad.japan -
Corn Potage Soup Made With Fresh Corn Corn Potage Soup Made With Fresh Corn
Every year in the summertime, we receive a lot of corn as gifts from acquaintances. But I'm not very fond of the texture of the corn kernels, so I always end up making corn potage soup with it. When corn is not in season, I use store bought corn paste instead of fresh corn, but the intensity of the color, flavor, and sweetness is just not the same!!Use corn as soon as possible after picking. Any more than 3 days after harvest, and the flavor is not so good anymore. What we do at my house is to at boil all the fresh corn cobs, wrap them in plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator. Alternatively you can remove the kernels and freeze. This year we received 22 ears of corn! We add potatoes only when we've got some that need to be used up, the soup is fine with out them too.
