Sweet Potato Bread

cookpad.japan
cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp

My kids went on a field trip to a potato field and brought back lots of potatoes, so I quickly turned it into bread .

I used milk creamer for the the sweet potato cream. You can use milk if you don't have it.
You can either glaze them, or not glaze them. Recipe by Hanarinrin

Steps

  1. 1

Place the powdered ingredients into a bowl and mix it up quickly. Pour in lukewarm water and knead well until smooth. You can also use the bread maker for this.

  2. 2

Place a well wrung out rag onto the bowl and let for the first time (50 minutes) → Remove the gas → Divide into 8 equal portions → Let rest (10 minutes). Next, make the sweet potatoes with the ingredients marked by *.

  3. 3

Mash up boiled sweet potatoes (or use a microwave) while they are still hot, add in the milk, butter, egg yolk, and sugar. Mix together and roll up into 8 equal portions.

  4. 4

Shape them. Place the balls of sweet potato on top of the flattened bread dough, and roll it up like a dumpling.
