Dry roast peanuts on a medium to low heat stirring often

When they are half done,the skin begins to come off.continue to rosted until the peanut turns slightly golden.

Making jaggery syrup for chikki

Add grated jaggery to a heavy bottom pot or pan.

Pour 1tbsp water

Begin to dissolve on a low to medium heat

When it is a completely dissolved add 1tbsp ghee.if you find tha jaggery.you can filters it at this stage.

Begin the boil on the medium to low heat the bubble well and thickness slightly.

Keep checking the syrup consistentcy.

Turn off and remove form fire.mix peanuts.

Be quick and stir in the peanut will with jaggery syrup.

Immediately trasfer to the plate.you can roll it as thin ai possible.

Make marks when it is hot.cut them while still warm.

Cool completely and store peanut Chikki is ready.
