Fluffy Microwaved Omurice

cookpad.japan
cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp

I wanted it to be simple, with a reduced cleanup! Also, I wanted to make it as low calorie as possible.
For the top picture, I wanted to draw a happy face, but it was hard...

Rather than an entirely smooth wrapping, it's good if it has a little slack. That way, the egg can cook a little more thickly.

You can also use this method to make kinshi tamago (shredded thin omelette)!
By using this method, you will cut down on both calories and dishes! Two birds with one stone! Recipe by Popotankobu

  2. 1to 2 teaspoons Milk
  3. 1as much (to taste) Your favorite chicken rice

Steps

  1. 1

Wrap a plate with plastic wrap. The plate in the picture is kind of deep, but half that size is good, too. It's okay if it's not entirely smooth and stretched.

  2. 2

Mix together the egg and milk and pour onto the top of the plastic wrap. Be careful not to spill while you bring it to the microwave!

  3. 3

Cook in the microwave at 600W for 1 minute.

  4. 4

Cover the chicken rice with the egg, pressing through the plastic wrap to shape it. If you want to make for two or more people, peel and gently scrape the egg off of the plastic.
