Be it any festival or any special occasion in a Nepali household, Sel roti is sure to be served hot on a traditional platter.
Steps
- 1
Soak rice for overnight, then with the help of a strainer or a clean piece of cloth, drain out all the water and let it dry naturally before you start the preparation of Sel Roti. Now put the rice into the grinder to grind it well till it becomes a fine powder.
- 2
In a separate vessel mix sugar, ghee, semolina and the ground rice flour together. Mix them well together and add lukewarm water. If the paste becomes thin, you can always add rice flour or semolina. To make the roti fluffier you can add 3 pinches of baking soda to the prepared mixture. For More in Detail Recipe log on to
