Very Easy Custard Cream in a Microwave

I wanted to make an easy and proper custard cream, so I created this recipe.
I tried tweaking around with the ingredients, but this is my favorite.

The key is to strain the mixture.

Very Easy Custard Cream in a Microwave

Ingredients

  1. 2Egg yolks
  2. 50 gramsGranulated sugar
  3. 25 gramsCake flour
  4. 200 gramsMilk
  5. 1few drops Vanilla extract
  6. 15 gramsButter

Cooking Instructions

    Add all the ingredients except for the butter into a heatproof dish, and mix well with a whisk.

    Strain Step 1 in a strainer.

    Microwave for 2 ~ 3 minutes until it starts to boil.

  4. 4

    Remove from the microwave, and mix the thickened custard cream with a whisk.

  5. 5

    Keep microwaving 30 ~ 60 seconds and mixing until it becomes your preferred thickness.

    Melt the butter in residual heat of the custard cream, and mix together. When the mixture is cooled, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the fridge. Done.
