First, add turmeric powder, salt, and water to the moth beans and boil them.

Next, heat oil in a pan. Add ginger and garlic.

Add onions and tomatoes, and cook until soft.

Once cooked, transfer the mixture to a blender jar and blend into a paste.

Heat oil in another pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, asafoetida, and salt. Mix well.

Add garam masala and mix again.

Add the prepared paste to the pan, mix, and cook for a few minutes.

Once cooked, add this mixture to the boiled moth beans. Add water as needed and mix well.

Serve hot with cilantro, lemon, pav (soft bread rolls), and chopped onions on the side.
