This is a versatile tomato sauce that we always have a lot of at our house. It's pretty easy, but I have uploaded it so that my daughter could learn how to make it.

It tastes best if you use a lot of olive oil. Garnish with 3-4 sprinkles of dried basil.

Ingredients

  1. 1 canCanned whole tomatoes
  2. 2 cloveGarlic, grated (or tubed)
  3. 4 tbspOlive oil
  4. 1 tspSalt
  5. 1Basil (dried)
  6. 1Soup stock cube

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Chop the garlic. Purée the canned whole tomatoes (you can strain it in a sieve if you prefer).

  2. 2

    Heat up a frying pan, then add olive oil. Sauté the chopped garlic to infuse the oil.

  3. 3

    Put the mashed whole tomatoes and the soup stock cube in the frying pan with garlic and oil.

  4. 4

    Add the salt. When it begins to boil, turn off the heat. Sprinkle on the dried basil to finish!

    Adjust the amount of salt depending on what food you will use the sauce with.

  6. 6

    You can divide it into portions and store it in the freezer!
