An easy one pot meal from Hyderabad. It is the most loved dish of many here. It goes well with plain boiled rice as well as rotis too. It does not require any other side dish or an accompaniment because it has a lot of gravy already. And can be relished with any Fried dish like Fried Chicken, Hyderabadi Tala huwa Gosht or even Papad as well to keep it Vegetarian. It is a lovely alternative and can be enjoyed for daily meals. Fresh Fenugreek Leaves or Methi as it's known here has been used in this dish. All in all a super yummy dish made very effortlessly too.

Heat Oil In a pressure cooker, add the Mustard Seeds, once it crackles, add and saute the Onions for a minute. Add all the spices as well as the chopped Tomatoes and saute for about 5 minutes. Also add a little of freshly chopped Coriander Leaves too. Add about 2 cups of water now.

  2. 2

Pressure cook for about 6-7 whistles or as required. Let the pressure settle down on it's own before opening the lid.

  3. 3

Open the lid and allow it to cook further on a high heat for the first 5-6 minutes. Let it simmer on medium high heat now for the next 5-6 minutes. Add water as required. The consistency of the curry depends on one's taste. Medium thick is best.

  4. 4

Also don't forget to add a bunch of fresh Fenugreek Leaves to it. Adjust Salt and garnish with chopped Coriander before dishing out.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
