Apple Cinnamon Cake

Steps

Line a baking dish with parchment paper or butter paper, set aside.

Sieve the flour, baking powder and baking soda, set aside

In a Mixing bowl, Cream butter and sugar using a electric beater till light and stuff.

Add eggs one at a time, whisk till the eggs are well incorporated. (Don't over beat the mixture). Add vanilla essence.

Now add the flour and mix well using the cut and fold method.

Next add 1 apple that is cut into cubes along with the cinnamon powder and salt. Mix the batter

At this stage if the batter is thick, add a little milk and mix.

Next pour the batter into the lined baking dish and arranged the sliced apples in the manner you see in the pic below.

Now baking the apple in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 50 mins or till a skewer comes out clean.

After taking the cake out of the oven, glaze with the jam when the cake is still warm. (Optional step)

To make the glaze, heat jam in a microwave or on a stove for few minutes and then brush over the top of the cake.

Once completely cooled, cut and serve. Enjoy!!
