Popcorn is an all time favourite with kids and elders both, when we just want to nibble on something crunchy but not heavy. It is an excellent source of protein, fibre, carbs and a healthy snack option for all. Especially if it's homemade. So I have made popcorn especially for children's day so they can enjoy it while watching their favourite shows!

Popcorn is an all time favourite with kids and elders both, when we just want to nibble on something crunchy but not heavy. It is an excellent source of protein, fibre, carbs and a healthy snack option for all. Especially if it's homemade. So I have made popcorn especially for children's day so they can enjoy it while watching their favourite shows!

First, keep a deep based wok on stove. Add the oil and let it heat.

Then add butter and stir well. Then add the corn seeds, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.

Now cover the wok with a large plate, keep only a small opening for steam to go out. Now let the seeds pop up on low to medium heat.

Switch off when all the seeds are pooped up and no sound of popping is heard.. Stir well. Then remove in a serving bowl.

Enjoy crunchy salted popcorn with your favourite movie !
