All-purpose! Miso Glaze

I had a lot of miso, but didn't want to use it up in miso soup, so I made this glaze.
Be careful not to burn it.
If you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar.
It also goes well with ichimi spice. Recipe by Arusutoromeria.

All-Purpose Dengaku Miso Sauce All-Purpose Dengaku Miso Sauce
This is an all-purpose sauce that you can use for aubergine dengaku, Nagoya-style miso cutlets, oden hot pots or miso stewed udon noodles. Microwaving it gives it a shiny finish.Typically, the ingredients are slowly simmered in a small sauce pan over low heat until shiny. With this method, it will keep a long time, but it's easy to burn; microwaving is easier. Recipe by kebeibiko cookpad.japan -
All-Purpose Dengaku Miso Sauce All-Purpose Dengaku Miso Sauce
My hubby loves red miso dengaku sauce... but I don't like the taste of readymade ones because they seem too harsh to me.Since we both love sesame seeds, I've used this recipe forever.I think this type of recipe already exists out there, but since everyone here loves it so much I uploaded it.Make sure not to over-reduce the sauce in Step 2. If you do and the sauce becomes too concentrated, add 1 tablespoon of water at a time to thin it out. Recipe by *ai* cookpad.japan -
All Purpose Miso-Mayonnaise Sauce All Purpose Miso-Mayonnaise Sauce
This started out as a miso sauce without the mayonnaise. When I added the mayonnaise, it became much milder and went better with more types of food, which is why I uploaded the recipe. It goes so well with rice! The perilla or shiso leaf will keep its bright green color if you sauté it first in a little oil. Use whichever miso you prefer. If it is too salty, add a little sugar. You can also use mirin instead of sake. Recipe by Kanon mama ('-'*) cookpad.japan -
Versatile Basic Homemade Sweet Miso (Dengaku Miso) Versatile Basic Homemade Sweet Miso (Dengaku Miso)
We always have a batch of basic sweet miso sauce on hand. You can add yuzu or shiso to it, mix sesame oil, use it in stir fries, and so on - it's very handy.Adjust the sweetness of the sauce with the amount and type of miso. Sweet miso sauce will harden when cooled if it has too little moisture, so stop cooking it when it's still quite runny. If you make this in advance, store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Vary the basic sweet miso sauce to taste when you use it. Recipe by Mimato cookpad.japan -
All-purpose Green Leek and Miso Sauce All-purpose Green Leek and Miso Sauce
I always thought it was a waste to throw away the green part of a leek, so I always make it into this leek-miso paste. It keeps in the refrigerator for about 10 days, and can be frozen too.The keys are to stir-fry with sesame oil and to add bonito flakes. I used pre-grated ginger and ra-yu spicy chili oil, but if you don't have them you can use finely chopped garlic and doubangjiang or finely chopped red chili pepper; stir-fry in the sesame oil, then add the leek later. It's easy and delicious! Recipe by Kouchan mama cookpad.japan -
Miso glazed pork chops Miso glazed pork chops
I was looking for recipes that used miso paste as I had bought a tub of it to make some miso soup. I was delighted to find one can use miso in marinades, dressings, and other dishes. This recipe is an adaptation of several that I found online and takes its inspiration from Japanese and Korean dishes. I made this recipe with both both pork and tilapia, and the family agreed it was delicious both ways! Christina T -
Tianmianjiang-style Sweet Miso Sauce Tianmianjiang-style Sweet Miso Sauce
This was a recipe taught to me at the place I worked more than 10 years ago. This recipe works better if you use miso without dashi added. You have to constantly stir the sauce, so I think it is a good idea to make it when you have some spare time. The miso will splatter of the pot and stain your clothes, so I suggest wearing an apron!. Add more sesame oil if you prefer. Recipe by kenken mama cookpad.japan -

I don't use red miso much, so I make dengaku miso sauce with white miso (dengaku miso is often made with red miso). I saw a delicious looking meat miso in a magazine and rearranged it to make it vegetarian. You can use this with a variety of foods, so stock in your fridge. Since I love the texture of dried daikon radish strips, I love this miso. You can eat it as is with white rice, wrap it in lettuce, top it on warm vegetables, eat it with rolled omelets, or use it as a topping for noodles to make a vegetarian zhajiangmen (Chinese noodles with ground pork) It can also be used as a filling for rice balls. It will keep in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. All-Purpose Sauce All-Purpose Sauce
I hate having to remember recipes, so I just cook up a batch of this and have it on hand.I use this sauce in basically everything I cook. Feel free to add sugar, thin it out with water, etc. and you'll find there are so many things you can make with it. With this amount, you'll probably use it up pretty quickly, so there's no need to freeze it. Recipe by Team yokin cookpad.japan
