Easy lunch! Japanese-style pizza with whitebait, chikuwa and leeks Easy lunch! Japanese-style pizza with whitebait, chikuwa and leeks
Perfect for summer! This Japanese-inspired pizza is a healthy and flavorful twist on the classic. It combines sweet leeks, savory whitebait, and chewy slices of chikuwa (a Japanese fish cake) for a light yet satisfying bite. The touch of chili peppers adds just the right amount of heat, and a drizzle of olive oil brings everything together. Not only is it easy to make—just chop, layer, and bake—but it’s also a wholesome choice, packed with protein and nutrients from the seafood and veggies. It’s perfect for a light lunch or as a healthy, shareable appetizer with drinks.Pro tip: For a crispy crust, brush olive oil all the way to the edges of the dough. Place sliced leaks on top for a beautifully roasted finish. Keep an eye on the pizza as it bakes—every oven is different, so once the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly, it’s ready to enjoy!#CrazyPizzaChallenge きりん家の食卓 -

Mochi Pizza Mochi Pizza
I made this dish using kagami-mochi (mochi rice cake decorations) from our New Year's decorations.Pay attention and adjust the heat while cooking. Adding some water prevents the mochi from getting burnt and helps it cook faster. You can freeze the sauce, so make a large amount and use it for later. It can be used not only for pizzas but also in pasta dishes. Shiso and Sweet Onion Pizza Shiso and Sweet Onion Pizza
I had some shiso and sweet onion left over in my refrigerator, so I decided to use them in a seasonal pizza. If you like, use baking powder instead of yeast in the pizza dough to reduce the baking time. My family uses a toaster oven to cook fish and not usually our grill, so we don't worry about other food getting a fishy smell. Recipe by Inemurihimeai cookpad.japan -
Okara Mochi Pizza Bites Okara Mochi Pizza Bites
My children love shaping the okara into round dango (dumplings) and squeezing ketchup on the mochi. These were plots to make my children like okara. The water content varies with the okara you are using. If you have a hard time shaping at Step 1, add some water. Or if it seems too soft to shape into balls, add some katakuriko. I used dried parsley for garnish this time, but fresh parsley or any other chopped green vegetables are fine too.You can use processed cheese or a melting kind of cheese. Use whichever you prefer.
