Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsuji
  2. 1 cupbesan
  3. 4 tbspdesi ghee (quantity is variable)
  4. 1 cupsugar (accordingly),
  5. 2 cupmilk
  6. 1 tspElaichi powder
  7. 1/4 tspkewra water
  8. as required Desiccated coconut
  9. 6Kaju chopped
  10. 5badam

Cooking Instructions

    Take a wok, add sooji & besan, dry roast till light pink at low flame.

  2. 2

    Now add ghee, stir it.

  3. 3

    Roast sooji & besan until light brown. You can add more ghee if required.

  4. 4

    Now add milk slowly slowly, keep stirring till milk is soaked completely & sooji is puffed. Add more milk if required.

    Add sugar now, keep stirring. Stir fry it till you get a smooth texture.

    Add Elaichi powder & kewra water, mix it well. Stir fry it till smooth.

    Switch off the flame now. All cooking has been done on low flame.

    Take out the halwa in a serving bowl.

    Take a small pan now, add 1 tsp ghee, add kaju & badam, fry them till light brown.

  10. 10

    Garnish halwa with desiccated coconut & fried dry fruits.

  11. 11

    It's an exotic Indian dessert.
