Green Pepper Sautéed with Sesame Seeds

When I used to eat bentos for lunch, green peppers with semi-dried baby sardines was a regular item. Now, I'm into making sautéd vegetables, like eggplant sprinkled with sesame seeds.

If you prefer a crispy texture, be careful not to overcook the peppers.
You can add the sesame seeds in Step 4 after removing the pepper slices from heat. Recipe by Mawaru7

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2Green peppers
  2. 1 tbspWhite sesame seeds (ground), roasted, if desired
  3. 2 tspSoy sauce
  4. 1 tspMirin
  5. 1Sesame oil

Cooking Instructions

    Remove seeds from the green peppers and slice lengthwise into slightly thick sticks.

  2. 2

    Mix together the ingredients marked with a ●.

  3. 3

    Heat sesame oil in a pan, add green peppers from Step 1, and sauté on medium heat.

  4. 4

    When the oil is evenly distributed and the green peppers are slightly soft, stir in the seasoning from Step 2. Sprinkle on the sesame seeds, and serve.

  5. 5

    Right before serving, sprinkle on roasted white sesame seeds to taste.
