Easy and Healthy White Sauce with Rice Flour Easy and Healthy White Sauce with Rice Flour
I had some joshinko left over and a member of the COOKPAD taught me how to use it up, from what she saw it on an NHK TV show. I adopted the stew recipe and changed it into a white sauce recipe. It does not contain butter, so it is healthy and is easy on your stomach. I use this recipe all the time for my family.Make sure the joshinko is dissolved in the milk for a while before use. It should be about 10 minutes. This is very important! You can use it right after dissolving it, but the smell of the flour remains and the texture is not too good, so let it settle. Adjust the ratio of the milk and joshinko to your preference. There are two different kinds of joshinko; one is 100% non-glutinous rice flour and the other one contains some regular rice flour. Choose the 100% non-glutinous rice flour. Recipe by chako mama cookpad.japan -

If you make white sauce by yourself, you avoid taking in additives, skim milk power, genetically modified fats, trans-fats, as well as avoiding BSE or radiation sickness. You are what you eat. It's fastest if you use a whisk in Step 3. Switch to a wooden spatula afterwards (Step 4 onwards)The sauce will thicken a little more once cooled, so it's best to stop cooking before it thickens. Recipe by pogue cookpad.japan -

Doria (Rice Gratin) with Curry Pilaf and White Sauce Doria (Rice Gratin) with Curry Pilaf and White Sauce
I like the combination of curry-flavoured pilaf and white sauce. I made curry pilaf earlier so I made this dish too. By adding tomatoes and broccoli, you can boost the nutrient content of the dish.During Step 3 as you add the milk, it will be a bit thick but will gradually thin out. Stir the sauce constantly over low heat and you won't get any lumps. Instead of fresh tomatoes, you can use canned tomatoes. Just pop some into the middle of the sauce. For 2 servings. Oil-Free, Sugar-Free Rice Flour Soy Milk Chiffon Cake Oil-Free, Sugar-Free Rice Flour Soy Milk Chiffon Cake
I simply wanted to make a healthy snack.I recommend making the meringue soft enough to form peaks with tips that curl over! Stiff peaks will make the cake crumbly, or hard to mix with egg yolks leading to over-mixing! 60 g of honey makes a lighter cake, while 85 g of honey bring the texture closer to castella. You can also use a 17 cm tube pan, since the recipe produces enough batter. Recipe by daizu mama cookpad.japan -

Wheat & Egg-free Rice Flour and Soy Milk Pancakes Wheat & Egg-free Rice Flour and Soy Milk Pancakes
My dad and I were trying to find out what to make with rice flour. I am really proud of this recipe. The ingredient ratios are so easy to remember and I've made it over and over. These delicious pancakes remind me of the sweet rice cakes my grandma made for me when I was a kid.The amount of soy milk can be adjusted to make the cakes firmer if you prefer. You won't get bubbles rising to the surface like you would with normal pancakes, so make sure to check the bottom side and flip when it starts to turn golden brown.I made these pretty sweet so feel free to reduce the amount of sugar to suit your tastes.
