Eggless caramel bread custard

In a pan add 1/4 cup sugar and stir till it melts, becomes liquid and has a beautiful golden colour to it. Transfer the caramel to a bowl

Remove the sides of the bread slices and grind it to a powder

In a bowl, add milk, sugar and custard powder. Whisk it well. Now transfer this mixture to a wok and cook it on low-medium flame till it becomes a bit thick

Add the bread powder and cook till it becomes a semi thick liquid
- 5
Transfer the mixture to the bowl with the caramel in it. Steam this in a wok or a steamer for 30 minutes

Cool down, chill completely and serve
