I got a lot of horse mackerel, so I decided to try making tatsuta-age!

If the fish is marinated too long in Step 1, the flavor will become strong, so adjust to taste. Be careful not to burn the fish in Step 3! Since the fillets are thin, they should only need a short time to cook. Recipe by Fushicche

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 6Horse mackerel
  2. 1knob ☆ Ginger (minced)
  3. 1 tbspSoy sauce
  4. 1 dash☆ Garlic powder
  5. 1 tsp☆ Sake
  6. 1Katakuriko
  7. 1 tbspSesame oil

Cooking Instructions

    Fillet the fish and place in a plastic bag. Add the ☆ ingredients, lightly rub them in, then marinate for about 5 minutes.

    Add the katakuriko to the bag, then shake it well to coat evenly.

  3. 3

    Pour a liberal amount of sesame oil into a frying pan, then arrange the fillets in the pan without overlapping them. Pan-fry on medium heat until brown, then turn over.

    Once both sides are browned, they're ready to serve!
