Lasooni Dal Palak with Gondhoraj lebu/ lemon

In a bowl add toor,moong dal & rinse it very well in water.

Cook the dal in pressure cook for two whistles with 2 cups water,salt & turmeric powder.

Heat a kadai with ghee.Add cumin seeds & dried red chilli.

When the cumin begins to splutter add chopped tomatoes, ginger, garlic,green chilli.Saute well for a mint.Add hing.

Then add the chopped palak/ spinach.Saute for 3-4 mints until the leaves wilt.

Add cooked dal, salt, turmeric powder If needed pour some warm water.Mix well & cook on medium heat until palak softens.

Switch off the flame when spinach dal reaches desired consistency.When the palak dal cools down slightly,add gandharaj lemon juice & mix.

Serve dal palak hot with steam rice or chapati.
