Ingredients

  1. 250 gm Palak/Spinach - washed n finely chopped
  2. 2Onions - medium chopped
  3. - 2Tomatoes medium chopped
  4. 1 cupChana dal - washed n soaked
  5. 1 tspGinger / garlic /Green chilli - crushed
  6. as per tasteSalt
  7. 1/2 tspHaldi -
  8. 1/2 tspDhania powder -
  9. 1 tspLal mirchi powder -
  10. 1/2 tspGaram masala -
  11. 1 tbspOil -
  12. For tadka :
  13. 1 tspOil -
  14. 1/2 tspGarlic - crushed /finely chopped
  15. 1/2 tspLal mirchi powder -

Steps

  1. 1

    Add onions. Cook till light brown.

  2. 2

    Add chopped tomatoes. Cook till tender.

  3. 3

    Add salt, lal mirchi powder, dhania powder, haldi n garam masala.

  4. 4

    Mix well. Add soaked chana dal, chopped spinach

  5. 5

    Mix it and add water upto level of chanadal.

  6. 6

    Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.

  7. 7

    When pressure is released blend it with wooden churner.

  8. 8

    Transfer in serving bowl.

    Now heat oil add chopped/crushed garlic n lal mirchi powder and pour over Da palak.

    Serve hot with steamed/ Jeera rice / pulav.
