Steps
- 1
Cut the paneer in the square pieces. Take all ingredients together from marination and prepare the marinade. Add paneer, onion and capsicum. Coat it gently. I kept it in the fridge for 1 hour.
- 2
Take a pan. Add oil. Once oil is hot, agg ginger - garlic paste and onion. Saute for some time. Add garlic, tomato and cashews. Cook until it becomes mushy. I didn't add water. Add Red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric and salt. Let it cool.
- 3
Grill the marinated paneer. I used grill plate and tawa for vegetables to grill. Make a fine puree from the gravy ingredients.
- 4
Once grilled paneer and vegetables are ready, place a plate. Add hot charcoal. I used coconut shell as it is available easily for me. Add a spoonful ghee. Once it starts smoking, close it and keep it that way for some time.
- 5
Meanwhile take the pan, add oil and once oil is hot, add prepared gravy. Cook it on low flame and do not leave unattended. Adjust the taste by adding red chilli powder and salt. Add crushed kasoori methi too. Cook until oil get separate.
- 6
Add smoked paneer and vegetables in the gravy. Cover it gently. Add some water if required. I used 1/4 cup water. Cook for some more time. Garnish with fresh cream and finely chopped coriander leaves.
