I wanted to make something easy to use up leftover egg whites.

They will be fluffy after baking, but if left out uncovered, it may harden slightly. Recipe by jh2trz

  3. 2 tbspSugar
  4. 35 gramsCake flour
  5. 1Oil
  6. 1Powdered sugar (for decoration)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Bring the butter to room temperature. Whisk together with the sugar until creamy.

  2. 2

Lightly mix the egg white with a fork. (It's okay if it becomes slightly frothy).

  3. 3

Add the egg white to the butter and sugar in three portions. Mix with each addition.

  4. 4

Once thoroughly mixed, sift the flour into the batter. Mix until no longer powdery.

  5. 5

    Lightly oil the doughnut mold.

  6. 6

Put the batter into a pastry bag and squeeze into the doughnut mold.

  7. 7

Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 15 minutes.

  8. 8

When they have cooled, put the doughnuts into a plastic bag with some powdered sugar. Shake to coat with the sugar.

  9. 9

    A version without powdered sugar.
