  • Ingredients
  • 2carrots
  • Cabbage
  • Handfuldried black fungus
  • Handfuldried seaweed
  • 2dried shiitake mushroom
  • Seasoning
  • 3/4 cupdashi broth
  • 2 tspshoyu
  • 2 tspblackstrap molasses
  • 2 tspmirin
  • 1 tsptoasted sesame oil

  1. 1

    Soaked dried black fungus, seaweed and mushrooms overnight.

  2. 2

    Mix all seasoning ingredients in a small bowl

  3. 3

    Place chopped carrots, black fungus, cabbage and mushrooms (in this order) in the rice cooker. Pour seasoning over it. Cook on brown rice mode for 1.5 hours. Halfway through cooking, open the rice cooker and stir-through.
