These homemade croquettes are easy to make and, served with a good salad or sautéed vegetables, make a great dinner option.

Boil the potatoes, carrot, leek, and cod for about 30 minutes. Strain the broth. You can save it to use for making fideuà or arroz a banda.

Shred the cod, making sure there are no bones left. Mash the potatoes, carrot, and leek with a fork, then mix everything together. Add the spices and a pinch of salt, and let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.

Take the mixture out of the refrigerator. Shape into croquettes, dip them in egg and then breadcrumbs, and fry until golden brown.
