I made this for my boyfriend who loves clams. It was such a hit that now it's become a frequently served dish.

To de-sand the clams: Dissolve a little bit more than 1 teaspoon salt in 1 cup water. Put the clams in and chill in the refrigerator overnight.
The soy sauce and butter are the key to this recipe! The green scallions also play an important role in bringing out the delicious flavor of the clams! Recipe by Kuro26

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1 packagesManila clams (de-sand )
  2. 2 tbspSake
  3. 2 tspSoy sauce
  4. 2 tspButter
  5. 1as much (to taste) Chopped young green scallions

Cooking Instructions

    Put the de-sanded and well rinsed clams in a pot. Sprinkle with sake, and cook until the shells open up.

    Add the soy sauce and butter, and turn off the heat. Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with chopped scallions, and enjoy!
