Simmered Spare Ribs in Red Wine Sauce (with a pressure cooker)

This was a recipe that my mother used to make in a regular pot. A pressure cooker makes it easier to make. Besides, you don't need to sauté the onion to bring out the sweetness.
My mother made it often when we had guests. She must have had confidence in it.
If you don't have a pressure cooker, add water to cover the ingredients at Step 2-3, and simmer in a heavy pot for 1 to 1.5 hours. It's preferred that you sauté the onion until golden brown in this case.
If there is leftover sauce, use it to dip a piece of bread in or it can be a pasta sauce as well. Recipe by kotori2010

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet, brown the spare ribs to seal in the flavor. (If you are using a non-stick skillet, you don't need any oil.)
- 2
Transfer the spare ribs from Step 1 into a pressure cooker. Add the onions, cut in wedges, and all the ★ ingredients, cover and turn on the heat to high. Once it comes to a boil and the weight starts to move, reduce heat to low.
- 3
Continue simmering over low heat for 15 minutes while checking to see if the weight is still moving. Turn off the heat and let it sit to lower the pressure.
- 4
Now you should have tender and fall-off-the-bone spare ribs. Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle on some parsley if desired and it is done.

Pork Spare Ribs with Barbecue Sauce Pork Spare Ribs with Barbecue Sauce
This is a simple recipe that I can make without fail in my family's oven, stone oven, or Dutch oven the day before. You cook the meat through the day before in the steam cooker, so you do not have to worry if the thick meat has cooked through. Prepping the day before will transform this into tender and delicious meat. You can use brown sugar or maple syrup in place of the honey for a more intense flavor. For one 2 kg spare rib mass. Made Easy in a Pressure Cooker Meat Sauce Made Easy in a Pressure Cooker Meat Sauce
I wanted to eat a rich, delicious meat sauce that could be made easily, so I did some research. Since I have a small child, I decided to use a pressure cooker as it doesn't require much effort. You can also use celery and shiitake mushrooms, which are delicious. For the hot weather season, I recommend using plenty of vegetables since it softens while cooking. If you have leftovers, you can freeze it, or use it in lasagna or doria. Our family freezes it, then enjoys eating it with pasta a few days later. Braised Pork Ribs in Peanut Butter Sauce Braised Pork Ribs in Peanut Butter Sauce
This recipe also was inspired to me from one of Sachie ‘s recipe. She used just soy sauce and honey, but as I loved peanuts, I added them to the recipe. I also like a little tartness in my ribs so I added vinegar. I found that the one- hour and 20 minutes cooking was perfect for the consistency of the meat. But next time, I will definitely get ribs with little more fat and a little less meaty than the ones I got this time. 2choi -

This is an excellent and easy way to cook a good piece of meat. The result is very tender prime rib / rib roast and the red wine sauce goes well with it.Sides dishes that I serve with it are usually Chipotle mashed sweet potatoes, or as in this case, lemony Brussels Sprouts.PS: The recipe is by Alton Brown, one of my favorite cooks. which I watched on his show, Good Eats, a few years ago.PS: The temperatures are for medium-rare.
