For dinner last night I made various spring-themed dishes. This is one of those dishes.

Since the nanohana is slightly bitter, children probably won't like this too much. You can substitute them with komatsuna or other green vegetables. Recipe by Raby

For dinner last night I made various spring-themed dishes. This is one of those dishes.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 7Hamaguri clams
  2. 7Nanohana
  3. 100 mlDashi stock
  4. 2 tbspSake
  5. 1/2 tbspUsukuchi soy sauce
  6. 1 tspMirin
  7. 1finely chopped, small amount Green onions

Cooking Instructions

    Wash the clams. Cut the nanohana into 3 pieces lengthwise.

    Place the stalk of the nanohana in a microwave safe dish. Cover with the clams, and top the clams with the nanohana leaves.

    Add the dashi, sake, soy sauce, and mirin to Step 2 and lightly wrap with plastic wrap. Microwave for 3-4 minutes at 1000 W. When the clams have opened, it's finished. Garnish with green onions and enjoy it while it's hot.
