Ingredients

40 minutes
2 persons
  1. 2medium sized sweet potatoes, peeled and grated
  2. 1 cupsago, soaked in water
  3. 1 cuppeanuts roasted and crushed
  4. 1/2 cupgrated fresh coconut
  5. 1level spoon salt
  6. 1/2 teaspoonsugar
  7. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  8. 2green chillies cut to pieces
  9. 2 tablespoonsghee (clarified butter)

Cooking Instructions

    Place the ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds and allow it to temper.

    Add green chilli pieces and fry

  3. 3

    Add grated sweet potatoes to the pan and cook for few minutes till it softens.

  4. 4

    Add soaked sago to the pan and mix well. Also add crushed peanuts, sugar, salt and grated coconut to the pan. Mix well and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.

    The khichdi is ready to be served with shredded coconut garnishing.
