Easy Tartar Sauce in the Microwave

I made this to go with chicken nanban.

Be sure to poke the surfaces of the egg yolks with a toothpick before heating in the microwave. If you don't, they will burst.
If you don't have lemon juice, you can use white wine vinegar or regular vinegar.
I recommend fresh parsley as opposed to dried. Recipe by Kajihara Ato

Easy Tartar Sauce in the Microwave

Ingredients

  1. 2Egg
  2. 8 tbsp★Mayonnaise
  3. 2 tspof each ★ Lemon juice or vinegar, sugar
  4. 1 tbsp★ Fresh finely chopped parsley (or dried parsley)
  5. 1/6★ Onion (finely chopped)
  6. 1★ Salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Crack the eggs open into a heatproof container and cut slits into the yolks with a toothpick.

  2. 2

    Heat uncovered in the microwave at 700 W for 1:30~2:00. [If using 500 W, heat for 2:30.]

  3. 3

    Once cooked and still hot, use a whisk.

  4. 4

    Mash until finely crumbled.

  5. 5

    Next, add the ★ ingredients and mix well to finish.
