Ingredients

20 minutes
4 servings
  • 2 cupwheat flour
  • 1 cupleftover dal or cooked dal
  • as per tasteSalt
  • 1/4 tspcumin seeds
  • 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspchilli powder
  • 2finely chopped onions
  • 2 tspkasuri methi
  • as per needWater
  • as requiredGhee for cooking

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    In a large bowl add wheat flour,cooked dal, kasuri methi,jeera seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Add very little water and make a smooth (but not sticky) dough. Smear little oil on the dough and let it rest for at-least 10-15 mins.

  3. 3

    Make balls from the dough.

  4. 4

    Now roll out the paratha and Heat up a tawa/skillet on medium heat and place the paratha and let it cook.Once you see bubbles,flip on to other side drizzle some ghee or oil on top.Flip again and drizzle oil or ghee on the other side as well till they have nice golden spots on both sides.

    Serve Dal Paratha with pickle, curd or any curry.
