I changed the white sauce recipe that I used for my son's baby food by replacing butter with margarine and simplified the ingredients.

I changed the white sauce recipe that I used for my son's baby food by replacing butter with margarine and simplified the ingredients.

Add the flour and margarine to a heat-resistant bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.

It will look this this after 30 seconds Use a whisk to melt and mix the margarine into the flour. Mix it well so that no clumps form.

Gradually add in the milk as you stir well to blend it in. Microwave for 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes, it will look like this ♪ The sauce near the bottom and edges of the bowl will thicken. Stir it well and then microwave for another 3 minutes.

Flavor with consommé, salt, and pepper, and stir well with a whisk.
