Wash the yellow lentil and raw rice separately and soak it overnight.

In the morning grind the lentil and raw rice separately and then mix it. Now the batter is ready.

Now heat a saucepan and add 1cup of water. When the water comes to boil add 1/4tsp salt, 1/2 cup sugar and cardamom powder. Mix this well.

When the sugar melts add the moong dal batter and raw rice batter and keep stirring.

When the batter turns thick and non sticky turn off the gas.

Now grease a large thali with ghee and pour the thick batter and spread it nicely. You can use your hand and also a spatula for spreading the batter.

Now keep this cool down. When it comes to room temperature cut it in square shapes.

Now heat a kadhai and add some refined oil for deep frying.

When the oil heat properly add the pancake one by one and deep fry until it becomes golden brown from each side.

You can enjoy this chandrakanti Pitha as a snack and breakfast.
