In a medium sized pot stir together Sugar, Milk, Butter, and Salt until mixture will boil
**If using sweetened cocoa powder reduce sugar by 1/2 cup to 1 cup**

Add Cocoa Powder and stir for 4 minutes keeping mixture at a light boil

Turn off burner but keep the pot on. Add Vanilla while adding Oats and Coconut. Stir well!

With 2 spoons add drops onto wax paper/parchment paper and refrigerate for half an hour.
