Ingredients

Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-1.5 hrs
3 servings
  1. 750 gmsChicken
  2. 1 cupyogurt
  3. 3medium sized onion sliced
  4. 4-5cashew nuts
  5. 2 Tbspginger-garlic paste
  6. 1 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1 tspcoriander powder
  8. 1 tspturmeric powder
  9. 5-6 Tbspghee
  10. as per tasteSalt
  11. as required Whole garam masala of - bay leaf, 3-4 cloves, 3-4 green cardamoms, 1” cinnamon stick, 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
  12. 1 Tbspsaffron infused water
  13. 1 Tbspkeora water
  14. as required For garnish - onions rings and coriander leaves

Steps

Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-1.5 hrs
  1. 1

    Marinate the chicken with red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder. Marinate for 15 mins

  2. 2

    In a wok add 4 Tbsp ghee and add the sliced onions. Fry on medium heat and set aside on a kitchen towel. In a bowl add hot water and cashew nuts and soak for 10 mins

  3. 3

    Add the fried onions and cashew nuts to a blender and adding little water make a paste. Set aside

  4. 4

    In the same wok and add rest of the ghee and add whole garam masala. Add marinated chicken. Fry on high heat for 5 mins.

  5. 5

    In a bowl add curd, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and whisk well.

  6. 6

    Add this curd to the chicken and at the same time keep stirring. On low flame cook covered for 25 mins stirring in intervals

  7. 7

    Add the fried onion-cashew nut paste and keep covered for 5 mins on low flame. Keep stirring in intervals

  8. 8

    Add saffron infused water, keora water and salt. Mix well. Cook covered for 3 mins

  9. 9

    Plate and enjoy
