Steps
- 1
First, make a slightly thick sugar syrup by adding a little water to the sugar and heating. The syrup should not reach a thread consistency.
- 2
Cut the bread into your desired shapes. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the bread slices on low heat, turning them until they are golden and crispy.
- 3
Once the syrup has cooled slightly, dip the hot fried bread slices into the syrup for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove and place on a plate. Top with cream, cardamom, almonds, and pistachios. Serve the shahi toast hot and crispy.
- 4
Shahi toast is a delicious and quick dessert. It's perfect for serving to guests when you need a sweet treat in a hurry.
