Granoggles - AKA homemade granola

Making this granola (or Granoggles as it is known in our house) fills the house with an incredible flapjack-like smell that makes you really hungry! Granola makes a great snack or an indulgent breakfast addition sprinkled on all manner of things. Very more-ish!

Making this granola (or Granoggles as it is known in our house) fills the house with an incredible flapjack-like smell that makes you really hungry! Granola makes a great snack or an indulgent breakfast addition sprinkled on all manner of things. Very more-ish!
Steps
- 1
Set the oven to 150°C (300°F)
- 2
Mix all the wet ingredients in a small pan. Put on a low heat for a few minutes so that the honey starts to loosen and can be incorporated more easily. It doesn't need to boil or cook, we just want to make it warm and runny.
- 3
Weigh out all your dry ingredients. I'm making a double batch here so don't be alarmed if it looks like you don't have enough in your bowl.
- 4
Put the oats and mixed seeds into a mixing bowl and stir well.
- 5
Add the warm honey mixture to the bowl and stir so that the oat mixture is evenly coated.
- 6
Spread evenly on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes at 150°C
- 7
After 15 minutes remove the tray from the oven and mix in the coconut.
- 8
Return the granola to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes and then check on it and give it a stir. You may find that the edges brown faster than the middle, so be sure to stir those bits back into the middle. Once the whole tray is a satisfying golden brown the granola is done. Mine took about 30 minutes but it was a double batch so yours may be done sooner.
- 9
Once its done, take the granola out of the oven, add the dried fruit (I've used raisins) and stir well. That's it!
- 10
My favourite way to enjoy the granola is with a dollop of greek yoghurt and a drizzle of honey (yes more honey!)
