This is my family’s all time favourite dal. Its super simple to make and goes very well with any vegetable or khorma on the side!

This is my family’s all time favourite dal. Its super simple to make and goes very well with any vegetable or khorma on the side!
Steps

Take a pressure cooker and add washed dal with chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and 1 glass full water. Pressure cook for 4 whistles.

Take a blender and blend the above mixture.

Add salt, red chilli powder, curry leaves and 500 ml water.
Let it simmer and n low flame for 10 minutes. - 4
Squeeze 1 lemon juice and put it on low flame for 5 minutes. Then turn the flame off.

Take a small pan add oil. Once hot add zeera and fresh garlic cloves. Add this into the dal mixture. Be careful while adding the tadka as the oil could splutter on your hands. That’s it !
