Mash the garlic with a little salt using a mortar and pestle. Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan, then add the garlic and cook until it turns a nice golden color.

Add the chopped tomatoes and peppers to the pan, stir a couple of times, then add the fava beans. Lower the heat as much as possible. Once the mixture is heated through and stirred a couple of times, turn off the heat.

Let it cool, then blend it briefly in a blender to break up any remaining beans. You can store it in the refrigerator or freezer, depending on how long you plan to keep it. When serving, mix in the tahini and a squeeze of lemon juice. Enjoy!
