Ingredients

  • 500 gmtoor dal (split pigeon peas lentil)
  • 10 gmgreen chillies
  • 2 tbspncooking oil
  • 5 gmJeera (cumin seeds)
  • 2 piecesred chilly
  • leavescoriander
  • 2 tbspnghee
  • 2tomatoes

Steps

  1. 1

    Clean the toor dal

  2. 2

    Add sufficient water, chopped tomato to the dal and boil it preferrably in pressure cooker

  3. 3

    After boiling, take a pan and add oil, jeera. Saute them well

  4. 4

    After that, add green chilly, Saute well

  5. 5

    Add half tbspn turmeric powder and stir it

  6. 6

    Add boiled toor dal and stir it well till it gives you that spicy aroma

  7. 7

    Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves on top of it. Add two fried red chilly on top of it.

  8. 8

    Ready to be served hot.
