Ingredients

2 hrs
4 people
  1. For katori 400 gm sewai
  2. 3 tbspghee
  3. 200 ml(half tin) Nestle Milkmaid
  4. 3 tbspmilk
  5. ForRabri
  6. 250 mlmilk
  7. 200 ml(half tin) Nestle Milkmaid
  8. 1/4 tspcardamom powder
  9. 1 tspraisins
  10. 2dates chopped into thin slices

Cooking Instructions

2 hrs
  1. 1

    For making Katori
Fry the sewai in ghee till brown(I used roasted sewai or vermicelli here)

  2. 2

Add 200 ml Milkmaid and keep stirring till sticky. Add the milk and cook for a few minutes till the sewai softens. Keep in mind to just soften it, it should not be too soft, or else the crispiness would lose and will not hold together to make the Katori.

  3. 3

I did not add sugar as Milkmaid is sweet itself. Just switch off the flame and while warm start preparing the katori.

  4. 4

Take 4 small bowls and place cling film to cover the bowl well.

  5. 5

Now take 1 tbsp of the sewai and place it on the bowl and press against the side and make it uniform like a Katori.Place the bowls in fridge for an hour to set well.

  6. 6

    For Rabri
Boil the milk and reduce till it thickens. Add the remaining Nestle condensed milk, cardamom powder and I added no sugar as the condensed milk is itself sweet.

  7. 7

Keep stirring till the rabri thickens. Cool down to room temperature.

  8. 8

    Assembling
    1. Take out the bowls and slowly release the sewai katori from cling film from the bowl and place on a serving tray.
    2. Add 2 tbsp of rabri and garnish with some raisins and chopped dates.
3.Enjoy slight warm or cold as per your choice.
